The circle of artists represented in the Kunstsammlung der Berliner Volksbank is continuously enhanced. The figurative genre includes a broad spectrum of names and artistic approaches, spanning several generations of artists since 1945.
Artists from Berlin and Brandenburg, frequently graduates from Berlin’s art academies, are the collection’s main focus. The early “Leipzig School”, individual artists from Dresden working in the 1980s, and Gerhard Altenbourg are also represented.
